About SecureChitChat

SecureChitChat is a free, browser-based private 1-to-1 chat service. It lets you have real-time conversations with people from around the world without creating an account or going through a complicated signup process.

You join as a temporary guest under a display name you choose yourself, see who is online, and start a private conversation between exactly two people. There is no permanent public profile and no permanent chat history.

We wanted a private one-to-one chat experience that feels immediate and uncomplicated. Traditional chat platforms often require accounts and permanent profiles, and they can be cluttered with feeds, follower counts and stored conversation history.

We built SecureChitChat around the idea that a conversation should be simple and temporary: you join, you talk, and the session is not meant to be permanently stored. If a conversation is not working for you, you can move on to another person without friction.

SecureChitChat is currently a browser-based web app. You create a guest profile with a display name and optional profile details (age, country, gender) — no email or account — and that profile becomes a temporary session in your browser.

You see a live list of people who are online now, search by name or country, filter by gender, and start a room with the person you pick. Every room is exactly two people, messages are text-only, and the browser keeps conversations in memory rather than storing permanent chat history.

Sessions are temporary and expire on their own. A single session-level exit, "Leave Session", ends everything in that browser: it releases your display name, clears the session copy from local storage, closes connections and returns you to the home page.

Anonymous here means you can chat without an account and without a permanent public profile — it does not mean the person you talk to cannot see what you type, or that a conversation cannot be screenshotted. We say so clearly because it matters.

The current version is deliberately small. Reporting is email-based through the Report Abuse page rather than a button inside the chat, there is no per-conversation close control (Leave Session ends the whole session), and there is no file or photo sharing. External links are blocked in messages, but the block is a rule, not a malware scanner.

These limits are described on the pages and in the FAQ because we prefer honest constraints over comfortable-sounding guarantees.

Anonymous chat creates a useful layer of privacy, but it does not remove all risk. The person you talk to is another user with their own agenda, so personal judgement and awareness still matter.

We reduce common online risks through practical design choices: temporary guest sessions, blocked external links and no permanent chat history. We also provide a Safety guide and a Report Abuse page because we take misuse seriously, even on a temporary chat service.

No service can guarantee absolute safety online. We try to be honest about that: what we offer are reasonable, practical limits — not impossible promises.
